Starting to dislike Apple

Hello All,

I'm back again with my next post. I never imagined myself with a post like this..but I had no choice left. I was always fascinated about Apple and its products on how innovative they were and always wanted to own an Apple product. Atlast my dream came true last year when I bought an iPod 30G Video. They say that this is an entry to the Apple world and it felt amazing and I was very excited about it.

But my excitement didnt last very longer. Soon I started discovering the flaws in its design, usage etc and how Apple ignored them. Now I dont want Apple fans pouncing on me. I have my fair share of reasons on why I dislike Apple.

1. The shuffle playlist isnt persistent across USB connections.
2. The iPod OS/firmware has the same face since ages. Apple never tried to implement new features or improve existing interface.
3. Looks like the new iPods come with a new OS and look and Apple seems to be least intrested in atleast trying to port the new OS to the older models too.
4. There is an Artwork bug in the current OS that makes the Artwork dissapear just like that and Apple suggests a full resync of iPod which is very very frustrating.
5. Forcing everyone to use the iTunes to update music on iPod. Why cannot they adopt more frendlier technologies like Rockbox that can pickup music just copied onto the player.

so, Now my opinion on Apple is as good as money minting Redmond based company, M$.

Oh, I almost forgot one more reason....Apple doesnt even want to release the x86 version of Mac OSX even if it has the full compatibility because they are afraid none one would buy their hardware. Doesnt it clearly indicate their insecurity on their own products?.

Thats it for now friends. See ya later.

Why am I doing this?...I'm not a writer guy!!

Hi Everyone!!

Guess what?? This is my first ever blog and I'm surprised myself, that I started this because, I was never a writer guy as I always run out of words to say or write very quickly. However, this is my first step towards overcoming that problem. Lets see how far I'm going to succeed in it.

So the next question..Who am I? Well, again I myself am a little confused on who I am and what I am doing in this world..but I'll try to put it in words that a normal person could understand :P. I'm Nagendra Mummaneni(Naag) from India, working as a Unix Systems Administrator for a huge database company based out of Bangalore. I've experience on various computer stuff related to System Administration and I'm certified by Microsoft on Windows Administration, IBM on AIX, EMC on Symmetrix, Sun on Solaris and Redhat on EL4.

What am I going to put in this blog?
Darn it!! Why do I keep asking myself questions that I dont have answers for? Anywho...I plan on updating this blog with everything important that happens in my life including the Technical Stuff.

So guys..see ya later and I'll get back to you soon with my next blog.
